KSrelief Launches Rehabilitation Projects for Fish and Vegetable Markets in Yemen’s Al-Mahrah

Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched two projects to rehabilitate the fish and vegetable markets in Al-Ghaydah District of Al-Mahrah Governorate, as part of the sustainable agriculture and fisheries empowerment project to enhance resilience in the Republic of Yemen.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two projects include rehabilitating market facades, establishing new sales outlets, improving water and sewage networks, upgrading electrical systems, and supplying and installing metal shade structures in the vegetable market. These works aim to provide a suitable working environment for vendors and shoppers and improve the quality of services in both markets.

Al-Mahrah Local Council Secretary-General Salem Nimr praised KSrelief's efforts in supporting the agricultural and fisheries sectors, affirming that the two projects will contribute to improving services for citizens and enhancing the livelihoods of fishermen and vendors in the governorate.

The projects fall within the framework of the humanitarian and development initiatives provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to enhance agricultural and fisheries production by developing value chains and expanding market access, contributing to livelihood support and sustainable economic stability.
