KSrelief Implements 5th Phase of Project to Empower Orphaned Families in Yemen’s Al-Mahrah

Al-Mahrah, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) implemented on Sunday the fifth phase of the Initiative to Empower Orphaned Families in Yemen's Al-Mahrah Governorate, which coincides with Arab Orphan Day on April 7. The project aimed to cover the educational, health, and living needs of 150 orphans with an average of 50 families in Al-Mahrah Governorate for an entire year, as well as train, support, and economically empower them. The project aims to support the orphaned segment in Yemen by economically empowering 440 families with primary income earners by creating sustainable job opportunities for them to provide income and cover their living, educational and health needs, and enable them to increase their ability to deal with the economic consequences resulting from the loss of the primary income earners, and enrolling 1,300 orphans in the educational process, and distributing school bags to them. The objective is to enable 440 families to achieve self-sufficiency and facilitate school attendance for 1,300 orphans.
