Riyadh: King Salman Science Oasis has concluded its activities marking International Youth Day 2026 under the theme 'Our Youth, Our Wealth.' The activities highlighted the oasis' contributions during 2025 and 2026 to developing skills, promoting interest in science, technology and innovation, and providing opportunities for learning and community engagement.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the oasis' programs in Riyadh, Makkah and Northern Borders have reached more than 120,000 beneficiaries and visitors, while generating more than 60,000 volunteer hours through partnerships with over 100 organizations across various sectors. The figures reflect collaborative efforts to invest in young people's potential and expand opportunities for them to develop future-ready skills.
As part of these efforts, the oasis also concluded the Medad 2026 program in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and Akwaf Association. The four-day program featured panel discussions, workshops, one-on-one career guidance, and job interview simulations, with the participation of organizations involved in youth empowerment, as well as experts and career counselors.
During the closing ceremony, the oasis emphasized that empowering young people is a shared responsibility and that investing in their capabilities is an investment in the nation's future.
It also highlighted its commitment to creating interactive environments that connect knowledge with opportunities, passion with impact, and young people with the future.
