Manama: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain offered condolences to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, following the death of Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh. The late Grand Mufti also held positions as the head of the Council of Senior Scholars, the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, and the Supreme Council of the Muslim World League.
According to Saudi Press Agency, King Hamad sent two cables of condolence to the Saudi leadership, lauding the late scholar’s virtues and legacy while expressing his deep sympathies to the family and people of Saudi Arabia.
In a similar gesture, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa sent two cables of condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, expressing his sorrow over the passing of the Grand Mufti.
