Kidana Mobilizes Advanced Operational System to Serve Pilgrims at Holy Sites

Makkah: Kidana Development Company, the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites (RCMC), operates through an integrated system overseeing more than 170,000 assets across the holy sites to enhance operational efficiency and improve the quality of services provided to pilgrims during the Hajj season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, on the infrastructure and operational side, the company operated 74 escalators at the Jamarat facility and 340 additional escalators at other holy sites, in addition to over 74,000 lighting units and 456 air-conditioning units.

Regarding basic services, it has equipped more than 3,400 restroom complexes and 212 mobile units, and has deployed over 2,500 cleaning staff working according to integrated field plans.

On the maintenance and response side, the company activated 195 field maintenance centers to ensure rapid response and the continued efficiency of assets and services throughout the season.

The pilgrim accommodation system spans more than 3.5 million square meters. It includes over 45,000 tents and 46 central kitchens, all operating within an integrated operational environment that prioritizes service quality and pilgrim safety.

These efforts reflect the company's role in developing the holy sites and enhancing the pilgrim experience through an advanced operational system aligned with the objectives of the RCMC.
