Riyadh: The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) announced the results of the 'Recycle Your Device' initiative since its launch until the end of 2025. The initiative has collected more than 400,000 devices, with a market value exceeding SAR120 million, driven by wide participation from public and private sector entities and over 40K individuals. This has helped expand the initiative's reach and strengthen its environmental and social impact.
According to Saudi Press Agency, through the initiative, more than 960 tons of devices have been recycled or repaired, and over 120 educational institutions and charities have benefited from the donated devices. This comes as part of CST's ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability and the circular economy, enhance digital inclusion and social responsibility, reduce e-waste in the Kingdom, and enable wider access to electronic devices for our community.
"Recycle Your Device' is one of the notable programs launched by CST in 2022, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the National Center for Waste Management (MWAN), and several public and private sector partners. The initiative aims to reduce the environmental impact of electronic devices, promote sustainable practices, and raise community awareness.
