According to Saudi Press Agency, the two leaders affirmed their mutual aspiration to bolster the existing strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and France, celebrating the centenary of political relations between the two nations. They presided over the first meeting of the French-Saudi Strategic Partnership Council, launching new initiatives aimed at strengthening ties in various areas of cooperation.
The statement emphasized a shared vision for Middle East stability, advocating for political and diplomatic solutions to conflicts and security threats. The leaders underscored the necessity of a diplomatic resolution to Iran's nuclear program and condemned maritime security threats in the Strait of Hormuz.
On regional issues, they advocated for the disarmament of Hamas and emphasized the importance of a ceasefire in Gaza, humanitarian aid delivery, and the establishment of a Palestinian state within 1967 borders.
