Jazan Primary and Conversion Industries Seawater Cooling Project Reaches 98% Completion

Riyadh: Phase One of the seawater cooling project at Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries has reached 98.33% completion, supporting the city's accelerating development through advanced infrastructure.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the project aims to provide an advanced system to secure industrial facilities' cooling water needs, supporting operational sustainability and enhancing the city's competitiveness as one of the Kingdom's most promising industrial cities.

The infrastructure is built on two advanced submarine pipelines, each 3.25 kilometers long, transporting seawater to a main pumping station with a capacity of 160,000 cubic meters per hour. The system operates through four high-efficiency main turbine pumps in Phase One, with two additional pumps to be added in Phase Two, bringing the total to six pumps.

The project includes modern sterilization and water treatment systems, advanced electrical infrastructure, and an approximately 8-kilometer land pipeline network for supply and recycling operations. It also features supporting facilities, including administration buildings, technical workshops, security facilities, fire tanks, roads, landscaping, and utility services.
