Islamic Affairs Ministry Disseminates 7.4 Million Messages During Umrah Season

Mecca: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah and Visitation, has broadcast 7,412,500 awareness messages through electronic screens during the Umrah season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the messages included dawah, instructional, and welcoming content in global languages, disseminated from the start of the Umrah season until the end of Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH. The initiative is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts stemming from the Kingdom’s mission to promote moderation and guide Umrah performers according to the correct teachings derived from the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

The digital screens displayed step-by-step explanations of Umrah rituals, along with guidance on various forms of worship. They also featured awareness messages on adhering to the regulations and instructions set by the state to ensure the safety and security of visitors to the Grand Mosque during this year’s Umrah season. In addition, the screens provided QR codes for downloading books from the ministry’s electronic library, which contains hundreds of titles, reflecting the ministry’s use of modern technology to serve Umrah performers in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
