Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatib Zadeh said in response to a question about the recent statements of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on relations between Iran, Saudi Arabia and the region: that in light of constructive visions and a style based on dialogue, it is possible for these two important countries in the region and the Islamic world to overcome differences, entering into a new chapter of engagement and cooperation to achieve peace, stability and regional development. "
Zadeh added: The Islamic Republic of Iran, by presenting proposals and projects for dialogue and cooperation in the Gulf region, including the "Hormuz" peace initiative (the Hope Initiative) was a pioneer in the path of regional friendship and cooperation, and it welcomes the change of Saudi rhetoric. "
Khatib Zadeh expressed his hope that Ramadan, the month of divine mercy and forgiveness, would be a blessing beginning for the harmony of the Islamic community and the elimination of war, displacement and insecurity from the region.
