Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, performed the funeral prayer for the late Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, after the Asr prayer at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh today. Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh had served as Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, President of the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Muslim World League.

According to Saudi Press Agency, HRH the Crown Prince was welcomed upon his arrival at the mosque by Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz.

A number of princes, scholars, and ministers participated in the prayer alongside HRH the Crown Prince. Following the prayer, HRH the Crown Prince and the late Sheikh’s sons received condolences from dignitaries.
