Turaif: For more than seven decades, Hittin School in Turaif Governorate has stood as a testament to the early beginnings of formal education in Northern Borders Region. Since its establishment in 1371 AH (1951), it has remained part of the educational heritage shared by generations of the governorate's residents.

According to Saudi Press Agency, as Saudi National Day is celebrated, the school recalls a chapter in the Kingdom's journey of human development and the evolution of education, a key pillar of national development. Hittin graduated nine students in its first class before extending its educational mission across successive generations, reflecting the social and educational transformations experienced in the region.

The school's establishment was linked to an important period in the history of Turaif Governorate. It was established by the Trans-Arabian Pipeline Company (Tapline) as the modern city began to take shape. Since then, it has played both an educational and social role, becoming a landmark closely associated with the city and the memories of its residents.

Hittin's significance on Saudi National Day is also reflected in the continuation of its mission.
