High Temperatures and Gusty Winds Forecasted for Sunday in Eastern and Makkah Regions

Riyadh: Temperatures are expected to remain high in several regions, including Eastern, Riyadh, and Makkah, on Sunday. Gusty winds capable of stirring dust are anticipated in these areas, as well as in parts of the Najran Region. These conditions could lead to horizontal visibility dropping to zero or near-zero, particularly on the coastal road leading to Jazan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, suspended dust particles will affect horizontal visibility in the western and southwestern parts of Saudi Arabia, with rain-bearing thunderclouds forming in the southern regions.

Winds over the Red Sea are expected to vary; they will be northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 10-32 km/h in the northern part, and southwesterly to northwesterly at speeds of 20-50 km/h in the central and southern parts. Wave heights will range from half a meter to over two meters, making the sea conditions vary from calm to choppy.

In contrast, the Arabian Gulf will experience northeasterly to southwesterly winds in the northern part, and northwesterly to southwesterly winds in the central and southern parts at speeds of 10-28 km/h. Waves in the Arabian Gulf will range from half a meter to one meter, with the sea remaining calm.
