Heritage Museums in Turaif Attract Visitors on International Museum Day

Turaif: The heritage museums in Turaif Governorate in Northern Borders Region stand out on International Museum Day, observed annually on May 18.

According to Saudi Press Agency, private museums in Turaif celebrate folklore by displaying thousands of artifacts, handicrafts, and traditional tools once used in daily life. This initiative reflects the commitment of heritage enthusiasts in the governorate to preserving historical artifacts, in addition to the museums' role in attracting visitors and those interested in culture.

Abdulmajid Al-Hazmi's museum houses more than 2,000 diverse heritage pieces, including traditional household tools and popular items once used by the people of the region and nomadic Bedouins.

Meanwhile, the museum of Abdulkarim Al-Anazi features more than 3,000 heritage items, including copperware, coffee pots, jugs, food containers, Sadu weaving tools, swords and daggers, old car license plates, school books, and travel tickets.
