Heavy Thunderstorms and Hail Predicted in Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha

Riyadh: Heavy thunderstorms accompanied by hail are expected to impact the Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha regions on Saturday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating moderate to heavy rainfall in parts of Najran, Makkah, Riyadh, Northern Borders, and Eastern regions.

Thunderclouds are anticipated to develop over Qassim and Hail, with accompanying dust-stirring winds affecting these areas, as well as Tabuk and Al-Jouf regions. Wind speeds over the Red Sea are projected to be northerly to northwesterly at 15-40 km/h in the northern and central parts, shifting to northwesterly to southwesterly at 10-30 km/h in the southern part. These speeds may increase up to 60 km/h with the formation of thunderclouds.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are expected to blow from the northeast to southeast at 15-30 km/h, potentially increasing to over 45 km/h with the development of rain-bearing thunderclouds.
