Riyadh: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the suspension of an Umrah company and its overseas agent after they failed to provide accommodation services for pilgrims in line with approved contractual programs. The ministry highlighted that this failure constitutes a clear violation of regulations governing services for Umrah pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a number of pilgrims arrived in the Kingdom without secured accommodation, despite these services being documented in the contractual programs. This prompted immediate regulatory action against the company and its overseas agent under the established legal frameworks. The measures are designed to safeguard the rights of affected pilgrims, prevent a recurrence of such violations, and ensure the continued enhancement of service quality.

The ministry emphasized that the suspension reflects its ongoing efforts to ensure that Umrah companies and institutions strictly and professionally fulfill their approved contracts. It added that these measures also aim to raise the quality of services provided to pilgrims, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to improve the Umrah experience at every stage of the journey within the Kingdom.

The ministry stressed that it will not tolerate any negligence or breach of contractual obligations, underlining that pilgrims' rights are a top priority and that service quality represents a red line that cannot be compromised. It called on all Umrah companies and institutions to fully comply with established regulations and deliver services according to their contractual programs, in order to enhance service quality and ensure the highest levels of satisfaction for pilgrims and visitors.
