Jeddah: The Hajj Health and Safety Forum launched the Hajj health and safety hackathon as part of its activities taking place from May 17 to 19, with the aim of fostering innovation and developing quality solutions to strengthen the health and security ecosystem during the Hajj season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the hackathon seeks to engage young minds and specialists to address real-world challenges and generate practical ideas that improve readiness and service efficiency for pilgrims. It focuses on several key areas aligned with efforts to advance the Hajj ecosystem, including health preparedness, safety and preventive security, digital transformation in support of health and security during Hajj, operational sustainability at service sites, and communication and awareness on health and safety issues.
The event reflects the forum's ongoing efforts to support integration among relevant entities and to promote the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in developing healthcare and security services for pilgrims, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goals to enhance service quality and improve the pilgrim experience.
