Mecca: In his Friday sermon today, Imam of the Grand Mosque Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais advised Muslims to fear Allah and thank Him for guiding them to Islam, describing it as the religion of noble virtues and great praiseworthy qualities.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Sudais pointed out that the current immersion in materialism, the dominance of temptations, and the clamor that obscures true meaning, coupled with an irrational approach to fundamental issues, underscore the urgent need to uphold people's rights and redress grievances. He emphasized that the problem is deeper than passing disagreements, stemming instead from a weakening of religious conscience, intellectual emptiness, social disintegration, and the absence of values and purpose. These factors give rise to individuals preoccupied with fault-finding rather than constructive pursuits.
Al-Sudais warned against the most heinous form of injustice, namely injustice committed against people in matters of blood, money, and honor. He described this path as fraught with 'bloody thorns' that lead the perpetrator into the abyss, lamenting how many falsehoods have been entrenched and how many rights have been extinguished, tearing apart social cohesion.
