Golden Chamomile Blankets Northern Borders Meadows

Riyadh: The meadows of Al-Hajrah, northeast of the historic village of Laynah, have been transformed into vast golden carpets by the blooming of chamomile (Matricaria recutita).

According to Saudi Press Agency, the 20-centimeter-tall aromatic plant highlights Northern Borders Region's rich biodiversity and serves as a vital resource for essential oils and local pollinators. This seasonal spectacle flourishes due to recent rains, the success of nature reserves, and strictly enforced environmental regulations against overgrazing.
