GCC Secretary-General Strongly Condemns Infiltration of IRGC Members into Bubiyan Island in Kuwait

Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi strongly condemned the infiltration of members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) into Bubiyan Island in Kuwait and alleged plans to carry out hostile acts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi stated that Iran's hostile policies represent a direct threat to the security and stability of the region. He emphasized that these actions are part of a systematic attempt to destabilize regional peace and undermine the foundations of collective security. Albudaiwi highlighted that these actions constitute a blatant violation of the principles of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the principles of good neighborliness.

Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC states' full support for Kuwait, backing all measures the country takes to maintain its security and stability. He underscored the importance of ensuring the safety of Kuwaiti citizens and residents in light of the recent developments.
