Riyadh: The Founding Day celebration program concluded at Al-Adl Square in the Qasr Al-Hukm District under the patronage of Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz. Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz attended the closing, held after two days of heritage and cultural activities. The Royal Commission for Riyadh City organized the program in collaboration with Riyadh Principality.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the governor praised the leadership's support for the celebration, calling it a renewal of the pledge and a revival of the memory of the founding of the Saudi state, and an expression of loyalty to its imams and kings. He said honoring the occasion is a duty that helps children draw inspiration from their ancestors' sacrifices and deeds. He said the country's rise and its continuing development and prosperity are proof of that legacy.
The celebration aimed to strengthen national identity, deepen awareness of the Saudi state's history, and connect all segments of society with that proud past. It offered a cultural, interactive experience that blends authenticity with modernity.
