Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met in New York City today the Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The two sides discussed the solid long-standing friendship relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of India, their development in various fields, and ways to promote and advance them to more comprehensive levels to meet common interests. They also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Jamal Fares Al-Ruwaie, and the delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
