Riyadh: Under the patronage of Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel, Deputy Minister of Health for Therapeutic Services Dr. Salem bin Alawi Baharoon today inaugurated the First Scientific Forum of the alliance of counseling and mental health associations. The event is organized by the National Center for Mental Health Promotion in cooperation with the coordinating committee of guidance and mental health associations, with the participation of leading specialists, experts, and representatives from government entities and the nonprofit sector in Riyadh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two-day forum features a series of scientific and panel discussions addressing the state of mental health in the Kingdom, the role of civil society organizations in promoting mental well-being, successful national experiences in the field, and opportunities for greater integration between government entities and the nonprofit sector to support guidance and mental health programs.

The forum also includes an accompanying exhibition featuring government entities, nonprofit organizations, and supporting institutions showcasing their mental health initiatives, programs, and services while promoting opportunities for cooperation and partnership among stakeholders.

The National Center for Mental Health Promotion emphasized that organizing the forum reflects its ongoing efforts to support national initiatives to promote mental health, empower the nonprofit sector, and build effective partnerships among relevant entities, thereby improving the quality of services provided and advancing the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
