First International Forum for Tourism Integrity Concludes with Global Participation

Riyadh: The first international forum aimed at promoting integrity in the tourism sector has concluded successfully. Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), attended the closing session of the event, which was organized by Saudi Arabia’s Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, Nazaha, in collaboration with the Republic of Maldives’ Anti-Corruption Commission. The forum, held on May 6-7, 2025, witnessed participation from a wide array of Islamic countries and international organizations dedicated to combating corruption.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the event was graced by the Vice President of the Republic of Maldives and saw the participation of over 190 officials and experts from 50 countries. These representatives were from governmental bodies and international and regional organizations focused on combating corruption and enhancing integrity within the tourism industry.

Mr. Taha conveyed his gratitude to both Saudi Arabia’s Nazaha and the Maldives’ Anti-Corruption Commission for their significant roles in bolstering efforts to promote integrity in the tourism sector. The forum aimed to facilitate discussions and collaborations to combat corruption, thereby enhancing the integrity and sustainability of the global tourism industry.
