FII Priority Miami Discusses Role of ‘Capital in Motion’ in Shaping a New Investment Landscape

Miami: The Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute launched the first day of the FII PRIORITY Miami 2026 summit under the theme "Capital in Motion." The event brought together global investors, policymakers, and business leaders to examine how capital is shifting across regions, sectors, and technologies amidst geopolitical and economic transformations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, speakers and participants highlighted how capital is moving faster and with greater purpose toward new centers of growth. The discussions centered around nearshoring, infrastructure, energy, and human capital as key enablers for long-term growth. The summit underscored Latin America's transformation into a safe haven and growth engine due to its vast natural resources, expanding financial markets, and increasing geopolitical significance.

Richard Attias, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Acting CEO of the FII Institute, emphasized the importance of moving from fragmentation to alignment and from hesitation to action. He noted that the new Latin American order would be driven by decisions, partnerships, and investments rather than speeches.

The sessions highlighted strong capital inflows into key markets such as Brazil and Latin America's critical role in global food and energy security. Investing in infrastructure and education was noted as essential for achieving long-term returns. Alongside these sessions, closed-door conclaves were held to translate discussions into practical actions, focusing on digital assets, high-risk and high-reward cities, and the future work environment.

The summit also announced the "Capital in Motion Index" (CMI), a new global initiative designed to track capital flows across borders, sectors, and technologies. This index will provide decision-makers with insights into how investment is shaping future economies and societies and will be unveiled during the 10th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII10).

Additionally, the FII Institute highlighted the 2026 "FII Innovators Pitch" competition, launched in collaboration with MIT Solve, as part of the Institute's "ACT" pillar. This initiative aims to connect promising startups in artificial intelligence, sustainability, healthcare, and education with global investors and partners, with finalists presenting their ideas during FII10.

The FII PRIORITY Miami summit underscored that in a world where radical shifts have become the "new normal," capital is repositioning and changing directions. The focus remains on aligning capital with opportunities and converting this movement into tangible impact.
