Al-baha: The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification has placed informational plaques on 50 documented ancient and perennial trees in Al-Baha Region to emphasize their environmental value.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the center said its field surveys have identified rare and endangered plant species, with ongoing initiatives focused on determining tree ages, expanding photographic documentation, and building a comprehensive database to safeguard biodiversity.
