Field Plans Regulate Crowd Flow in Madinah’s Central Area during Peak Hours

Madinah: During the current Hajj season, a comprehensive field system for managing pedestrian movement and regulating crowd flow is being implemented in the central area surrounding the Prophet's Mosque, in line with the high density the area experiences during peak times - particularly before and after prayers, visiting hours, and transit between accommodation facilities and service sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the relevant authorities are implementing flexible organizational plans based on the distribution of designated pedestrian routes, regulating crossing points and vital intersections, alongside intensifying the field presence of organizational and guidance teams. These plans aim to facilitate the movement of visitors and pilgrims and maintain smooth flow across the plazas and roads leading to the Prophet's Mosque.

The field measures include directing crowds through designated routes suited to the traffic density at each location, while making use of directional signage and awareness screens that help guide pedestrians toward entrances, exits, and less congested routes, enhancing the safety of those heading to the mosque and improving the efficiency of movement within the central area.
