Environmental Security Forces Arrest Citizen for Violating Camping Regulations in Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve

Riyadh: The Special Forces for Environmental Security arrested a citizen for violating environmental regulations by camping without a permit in Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve. Legal procedures were taken against him.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Special Forces for Environmental Security clarified that camping in forests or national parks without a permit is punishable by a fine of up to SAR3,000.

The forces urged the public to report environmental and wildlife violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 999 or 996 in other regions of Saudi Arabia. Reports are treated with complete confidentiality, with no liability incurred by the reporter.
