Riyadh: The Elections Committee for the sixth term of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation Board of Directors has released the final list of candidates for the presidency and board membership. This announcement concludes the appeals and grievances process and marks the end of the candidate withdrawal period, adhering to the election timetable publicized on July 16.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the committee had initially disclosed the preliminary list of candidates on August 8. Subsequently, between August 9 and 13, appeals and grievances were submitted to the Saudi Sport Arbitration Center. The center reviewed these submissions, ruling in favor of some based on procedural grounds while dismissing others on their merits.

Following the conclusion of the appeals and grievances period, the Elections Committee proceeded with the remaining steps outlined in the election timetable. The deadline for candidates to withdraw their applications passed on Tuesday, August 25, without any requests for withdrawal being submitted to the committee.

The extraordinary general assembly meeting of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation is set to take place on Sunday, August 30, in Riyadh.
