Riyadh: The Al-Jouf Region is experiencing significant economic and marketing activity during its current date production season through initiatives designed to support farmers and enhance the presence of the region's dates in local markets.

According to Saudi Press Agency, one of the most notable initiatives is a date market open to producers and exhibitors at no charge in Sakaka's central market. This market hosts wholesale auctions in the morning and retail auctions in the evening. It features more than 15 varieties of dates and attracts over 30 exhibitors daily.

Al-Jouf Region is among the last in the Kingdom to enter the date production season, which grants its dates marketing significance as production declines in other areas. These initiatives aim to support economic activity linked to agricultural production and expand marketing opportunities for producers. They also raise the economic value of local dates, aligning with Al-Jouf's rich agricultural heritage.
