Dust-Stirring Winds and Thunderstorms Expected Across Several Regions

Riyadh: Dust-stirring winds and thunderstorms are anticipated across various regions this Sunday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has forecasted that parts of Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and Northern Borders regions will experience winds capable of stirring dust. Additionally, light rain may occur in these areas. Thunderstorm clouds with gusty winds are expected in parts of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, with the possibility of fog in these areas as well as in parts of Hail, Qassim, and Madinah.

Winds over the Red Sea are expected to be northerly to northwesterly in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southerly in the southern part, reaching speeds of 15-50 km/h. Wave heights will range from half a meter to over two meters, with the sea conditions varying from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, southeasterly to southerly winds will prevail at speeds of 20-50 km/h in the northern and central parts, and speeds of 12-32 km/h in the southern part. By evening, the winds will shift to southwesterly to northwesterly at speeds of 20-50 km/h in the northern and central parts. The wave heights will range from one meter to over two meters, with the sea being relatively calm to choppy.
