Dust-Stirring Winds and Cooler Temperatures Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has forecast dust-stirring winds in parts of the Riyadh and Makkah regions, as well as along the northern parts of the Red Sea coast. The sky is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of light rain in parts of Madinah, Qassim, Hail, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders regions, extending to the northern parts of the Eastern Region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, cooler temperatures are expected to persist in parts of northern Saudi Arabia. Winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 20-45 km/h in the northern and central parts, and westerly to southwesterly at speeds of 12-25 km/h in the southern part. Waves may range from half a meter to two and a half meters, making the sea choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 18-38 km/h. Waves may range from one to two meters, resulting in relatively calm to choppy sea conditions.
