Washington: President-elect Donald Trump assumed the presidency of the United States today after taking the constitutional oath of office, succeeding President Joe Biden.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the oath ceremony was held at the U.S. Capitol, officially marking him as the 47th president of the United States.

After the ceremony, President Donald Trump gave an extended speech, laying out the key policies his administration plans to pursue both at home and abroad.
