Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Leads Hajj and Umrah Committee Meeting

Makkah: Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Vice Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, led a meeting of the committee in Makkah today. The meeting was held following the directive of Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, who also serves as the Chairman of the committee. The primary focus was to review and follow up on the work and arrangements concerning the Umrah and Hajj seasons.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Saud highlighted the necessity of intensifying efforts and ensuring coordination among all pertinent entities to offer optimal services to pilgrims from their arrival in the Kingdom until their safe return home. He stressed the importance of enhancing the readiness of agencies and maintaining continuous preparedness to effectively execute operational plans, aligning with the leadership’s focus on improving the pilgrims’ experience.

The committee examined the performance and efforts of the relevant authorities serving Umrah performers during the current season, ensuring that visitors to the Holy Mosque can perform their rituals with ease. Additionally, the meeting addressed the latest developments in early preparations for the upcoming Hajj season and reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects aimed at facilitating the movement and comfort of pilgrims. Various agenda topics were discussed, and necessary recommendations were adopted.
