Dates Market in Al-Mithnab Opens with More Than 50 Varieties from Governorate’s Farms

Riyadh: Since its launch, the Dates Market in Al-Mithnab Governorate has seen brisk trading activity and a strong turnout of residents, visitors, and traders, offering more than 50 varieties of dates produced by farms across the governorate.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the market is held under the supervision of the Qassim Region Municipality, represented by Al-Mithnab Governorate, and organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates through its seasonal markets platform and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's office in Al-Mithnab Governorate. It is officially sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, with the participation of the Ministry of Commerce and Al-Mithnab Governorate.

The seasonal markets platform supports the palm and dates sector by providing agricultural and marketing services and leveraging modern technologies to enhance marketing efficiency, support farmers and producers, and increase the consumption of Saudi dates. Through the platform, the dates season in Al-Mithnab aims to organize sales and marketing operations, enable farmers to showcase and market their produce, and improve the quality of services provided.

The diversity of date varieties on offer in Al-Mithnab Governorate reflects the governorate's prominent agricultural standing, the season's importance in stimulating economic activity, and the investment opportunities it creates in the palm and dates sector in Qassim Region.
