Riyadh: The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) revealed that more than 20 companies have joined its corporate registration initiative on the Bug Bounty platform, introduced in partnership with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) during LEAP 2023. The initiative aims to connect organizations with security researchers to identify software vulnerabilities in their products and digital platforms, helping reduce potential threats.
According to Saudi Press Agency, since its launch, the initiative has focused on supporting SMEs by offering tailored free packages while also encouraging major companies to participate. The program has awarded over SAR800,000 in prizes, announced more than 30 programs have been tested by over 500 researchers, and received more than 600 vulnerability reports.
This initiative is part of CST’s national efforts to strengthen cybersecurity maturity across the Kingdom’s ICT sector, protect users from harmful content, ensure the confidentiality of personal information and documents, and enhance cybersecurity practices among service providers.
