Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Chairs Cabinet Session in Riyadh

Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held in Riyadh today. HRH the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on a message from Russian President Vladimir Putin and his meeting with State of Palestine Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary stated that the Cabinet reviewed regional and international developments, focusing on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. The Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to engage with the international community to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and ensure the delivery of relief aid were emphasized.

The Cabinet highlighted the importance of a joint statement by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Italy, reaffirming their commitment to achieving peace in the Middle East. The statement called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and condemned actions jeopardizing the two-state solution.

Domestically, the Cabinet commended Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s patronage of the ninth Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference. The event will take place in Riyadh from October 27 to 30, 2025, focusing on using investment to create a prosperous and sustainable future for humanity under the theme “The Key to Prosperity.”

The Cabinet addressed other agenda items and issued several decisions. These included establishing a Board of Trustees for the Esports World Cup Foundation, authorizing discussions on political consultations with Moldova, and approving cooperation agreements with Azerbaijan, the UK, Liberia, Ecuador, Uzbekistan, and India.

The Cabinet also approved a regional cooperation protocol for fisheries and marine aquaculture management in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and a model memorandum of understanding for human rights cooperation.
