Civil Defense Issues Safety Alert for Rain-Related Hazards

Sakaka: The General Directorate of Civil Defense warned against hazards caused by rainfall, including flash floods and water accumulation, and advised the public to avoid flood-prone areas and refrain from attempting to cross them. It warned against picnicking or swimming near flood channels and waterlogged areas, and stressed the role of families in raising awareness and keeping children away from dangerous locations during outdoor activities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the directorate stressed the importance of following official instructions issued through media outlets and social media platforms, and reminded the public to call 911 in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, and Eastern Region, and 998 in other regions of the Kingdom, in case of emergencies.
