House Speaker Nabih Berri issued a statement on Tuesday in commemoration of the 17th anniversary of the July 2006 Israeli war on Lebanon, in which he stressed that the political differences should not blind the Lebanese regarding Israel's hostile intentions against Lebanon. He added that "national belonging and defending sovereignty, independence and the identity is not a point of view; it rather starts from the south in the face of Israel's hostility and greed."
