House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Monday chaired a meeting of the Parliament bureau body, in the presence of Vice Speaker Elie Firzli and members.
On emerging, Firzli said that the meeting was devoted to discussing the issue of the election of parliamentary committees, describing the atmosphere as "positive and consensual."
Firzli announced that a parliamentary session will be taking place tomorrow at 11.00 am to elect heads and members of parliamentary committees, in line with the climate of consensus amongst all political forces to elect these committees.
In reply to a question, Firzli disclosed that the meeting agreed on 90% of nominations concerning heads of committees, with discussions to be completed during tomorrow's session.
On the other hand, Berri met with "Loyalty to Resistance" bloc head, MP Mohammad Raad.
Earlier, the Speaker met with a Palestinian delegation, led by "Fatah" Movement Central Committee member, Azzam Al-Ahmad, accompanied by Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ashraf Dabbour.
Talks reportedly touched on most recent developments on the Arab arena, particularly the Palestinian one, in addition to the Palestinian reconciliation.
Berri also received a cable from Algerian National Assembly Speaker Abdel Qader Ben Saleh.
