Arab League Denounces Iranian Assaults on UAE and Jordan

Cairo: Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Nabil Fahmy strongly condemned the renewed Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, categorically rejecting these acts as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries and a clear breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Secretary-General emphasized that any infringement on the security of an Arab country or targeting of its territory, under any pretext, is completely unacceptable. In a statement, the Secretary-General expressed the Arab League's full solidarity with the UAE and Jordan and its support for all measures taken by both countries to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He affirmed that the security of the UAE and Jordan is an integral part of the Arab national security system.

The Secretary-General reiterated his categorical rejection of the pretexts put forward by Iran to justify its attacks on Arab countries and threats to their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He called on Iran to respect the sovereignty of Arab states, stressing that maintaining the region's security and stability requires adherence to the principles of international law, prioritizing dialogue and responsibility, and avoiding any steps that could broaden the scope of escalation or endanger the region's security and the interests of its peoples.
