Riyadh: The General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council strongly condemned reports that the terrorist Houthi militia launched a UAV toward Makkah yesterday. The Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces successfully intercepted and destroyed the UAV before it entered Makkah's prohibited airspace.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued today, the General Secretariat expressed its firm condemnation and absolute denunciation of this terrorist attack, which it described as a violation of international law and a breach of the sanctity of the Grand Mosque and holy sites. It further characterized the attack as a provocation to the feelings of all Muslims worldwide.

The statement affirmed the Council's full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its efforts to protect its territory and holy sites. It emphasized the importance of preserving the security and stability of Saudi Arabia and safeguarding the safety of its citizens and residents.
