Riyadh: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) approved the official seeding for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Final Draw, scheduled to take place on Saturday in Riyadh. Qualified teams have been allocated into four pots based on the latest approved ranking.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia, as host, was placed in Pot 1 alongside Japan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Korea Republic, Australia, and Uzbekistan. Pot 2 includes Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Syria. Pot 3 features Bahrain, Thailand, China, Palestine, Vietnam, and Tajikistan. Pot 4 comprises Kyrgyz Republic, North Korea, Indonesia, Kuwait, Singapore, and the winner of the Lebanon/Yemen match.
The draw will determine the group-stage fixtures of the tournament, which Saudi Arabia will host from January 7 to February 5, 2027. The competition will feature 24 teams across three cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar.
