4.9-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Eastern Indonesia

Riyadh: A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Indonesia last night, injuring at least 20 people and damaging dozens of homes, local officials reported Thursday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10.4 kilometers, centered approximately 104 kilometers east of Maumere in East Nusa Tenggara province.

The greatest impact was recorded on Adonara Island, where more than 100 homes were damaged. Local authorities confirmed that at least 20 residents sustained injuries during the seismic event.
