33 Projects Opened for Feedback through the Public Consultation Platform

Riyadh: The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center's Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 33 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with 18 government agencies, the center invites the general public, government agencies, and the private sector to share their feedback on projects before their approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, key projects presented on the platform include a project titled 'Decision on Organizing Sales Aisles in Grocery Stores, Supply Stores, and Central Markets,' launched by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. The project aims to develop an implementation plan for the policy regulating sales aisles in grocery stores, provisions, and central markets. The public can provide feedback on this project through the Istitlaa platform until May 13, 2026.

The Transport General Authority has launched a public consultation project titled 'Executive Regulations for the Transportation of Goods by Motorcycle for Commercial Purposes,' which aims to organize the activities of transporting goods via motorbike for commercial purposes, develop its services, and encourage investment in it, in accordance with the goals of economic and social development in the Kingdom, taking into account environmental aspects and security and safety requirements.

The authority has also put forward a key project titled 'Schedule of Violations and Penalties Executive Regulations for the Group Transportation Activity by Cars via Electronic Applications.' The project aims to organize the activity of collective transportation by cars through electronic applications, develop its services, advance it, and encourage investment in it in a manner that aligns with the goals of economic and social development in the Kingdom, while considering environmental aspects, security, and safety requirements. Public feedback on the two projects will be accepted until May 14, 2026.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has put forward a key project on the Istitlaa platform titled 'Guide to the Transport of Livestock and Livestock Products.' This project aims to complete the governance requirements for livestock and livestock product transport procedures, and to enhance the efficiency of regulation and compliance with statutory requirements. The public consultation for the project ends on May 16, 2026.

The Saudi Building Code Center is seeking public feedback on a project titled 'Technical Guidelines for the Application of Liquefied Petroleum Gas System in Buildings.' This project aims to support the application of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas system in buildings by setting out safety requirements governing the storage, distribution, and use of LPG, and by mitigating risks arising from leakage or combustion by-products, thereby ensuring safety and the protection of lives and property. Public feedback on the project is open until May 17, 2026.

The introduction of draft regulations, publics, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform serves as an affirmation of enhanced transparency in the legislative environment. In addition, Istitlaa fosters a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their insights and feedback on proposed regulations related to the business environment.
