28th Annual World Investment Conference Commences in Riyadh Under Royal Patronage.

Riyadh: Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the 28th annual World Investment Conference (WIC) commenced today. The conference, organized by Invest Saudi in partnership with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), is scheduled from November 25 to 27.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih welcomed the participants during his speech at the opening ceremony. He affirmed that the Kingdom is honored to host this prominent international gathering, which brings together investors, decision-makers, and experts to discuss investment as a crucial driver of the global economy. Al-Falih emphasized the challenges and opportunities facing global investment amidst ongoing economic transformations.

The minister mentioned that the three-day conference is designed to foster productive dialogue, highlighting the diverse perspectives of the global investment scene. He underscored tha
t the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 serves as a successful model for sustainable investment, citing remarkable economic growth of 70% in recent years, a threefold increase in foreign direct investment flows, and a tenfold increase in registered international investors compared to the pre-vision era. Additionally, over 1,200 international investors have been granted premium residency permits for a year.

At the conclusion of his address, Al-Falih urged participants to strengthen international investment cooperation to achieve sustainable and comprehensive growth. He also commended the collaborative efforts of investment promotion agencies and international institutions in realizing the conference’s objectives.
