Kuwait, Feb. 05, 2023, SPA -- The fifth Arab Karate Championship has concluded in Kuwait in the attendance of the Arab Carate Federation Dr. Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Gannas, it was reported today.

Al-Yarmok club, the host of the event which took place last night, ranked first with four gold medals, followed by UAE Al-Ahli youth club with one gold and one bronze, Kuwaiti club of Al-Kuwait came third with one gold and two bronze, and Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia as fourth with two silver and two bronze.

During the two-day event, 16 Arab clubs, represented by 100 female and male athletes, took part.

Makkah-- The General Presidency of the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet’s Holy Mosque yesterday provided a series of quality services to visitors of the Grand Holy Mosque to ensure the comfort of worshippers, Umrah performers, and visitors of the mosque.

Services provided to worshippers and Umrah performers included distributing booklets and leaflets to 1,500 visitors, raising awareness through QR codes containing guidance information, securing virtual calls with muftis using advanced technologies, and with Presidency's personnel available throughout the Grand Mosque, where around 102,936 visitors benefited from the awareness services.

From among the visitors, 1,926 people were helped to perform tawaf (circumambulation) by the Presidency's personnel who worked to facilitate the worshippers' performance of the ritual.

To ensure hygienic conditions, 130 liters of disinfectant, 2,650 liters of fresheners, 32,100 liters of carpet sanitisers, 5,200 liters of hand sanitisers, 2,300 liters used by robots for sterilisation, 2,100 liters of bio-care sterilisers and 32,000 liters of surface sterilisers were used.

Among the services provided: 298 bracelets were distributed to younger visitors; 25,199 people were given special counseling in several languages; 837 people benefited from human and social services; 16,100 prayer carpets were distributed, and 100 bottles of fragrance were given at the entry to the Grand Holy Mosque.

Muscat-- Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met in Muscat today with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi.

The two officials referred to the distinguished relations between the two countries and discussed ways to develop them; they also tackled opportunities for cooperation in various fields and exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman Abdullah bin Saud Al-Enzi and Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Dawood.
