KFU to hold International Conference on Hematological Diseases

Al-Ahsa, King Faisal University will hold today the International Conference on Hematological Diseases in cooperation with Boston University Medical Center and Center of Excellence for Sickle Cell diseases and with Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Omran Scientific Chair for Diseases Prevalent in Al-Ahsa Area.

The conference in its three-day works will emphasize on sickle cell anemia, thalassemia and other hematological diseases prevalent in the Kingdom and surrounding areas.

It comes from the KFU vision to seek and achieve excellence in learning and researching and to be a pioneer in society involvement, said Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Oahali, President of KFU.

He noted the participation of renowned and leading hematologists and specialists in the conference and said it reflects the university efforts in the graduation of highly educated national physicians.

For this purpose, KFU is keen on contributing to scientific studies and researches and organizing specialized conferences, workshops and forums that will help in transferring knowledge and experiences, in addition to keeping pace with medical advancement and updates, he added
