Zimbabwe Ambassador Explores Saudi Experience in Water Resource Management

Riyadh: Saudi Irrigation Organization Chief Executive Eng. Mohammed Abu Haid met Tuesday with Zimbabwean Ambassador to the Kingdom Jonathan Wutawunashe to discuss issues of mutual interest, including supporting cooperation in several fields, exchanging expertise, and enhancing opportunities for collaboration in irrigation and water resource management.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during an introductory tour of the organization, the ambassador and his accompanying delegation were briefed on its main activities and areas of specialization. They visited the digital transformation center to learn about the latest technologies applied in digitization and institutional transformation, in addition to touring the water quality laboratories, a key pillar in ensuring resource safety and enhancing service quality.

The tour also included a visit to a model farm to review the organization’s experience in capacity building and knowledge development to strengthen water security, as well as a visit to the facilities for reusing treated water to support the agricultural sector.

At the conclusion of the visit, the ambassador of Zimbabwe expressed his appreciation for the notable achievements observed, affirming his aspiration to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest that serve shared goals and support development efforts.
