Riyadh:The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has initiated a process to regularize the status of Yemeni nationals in Saudi Arabia who lack legal status. This initiative is being conducted through the Qiwa and Musaned platforms in coordination with various government agencies.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this regularization process began on Sunday and will span two months across Saudi Arabia. It targets Yemeni workers with expired residency permits and those reported absent from work, contingent upon possessing valid travel documents and adhering to approved procedures and regulations.
The ministry explained that workers with expired residency permits are eligible to transfer to other employers through the digital platforms. The Qiwa platform facilitates the transfer of professional workers, while the Musaned platform is designated for support workers. These processes are coordinated with the Absher platform, thus removing the necessity for physical visits to government offices.
Additionally, the ministry stated that workers reported absent from work could have their absence reports canceled and transfer to other employers in need of their services. The Qiwa platform is available for professional workers, and Musaned can be used by support workers, assuming they hold valid travel documents.
The ministry emphasized that offering these services online is part of a collective effort among government agencies to implement the directives. These efforts aim to ease the regularization of workers' status and oversee worker transfers following approved rules and regulations. The initiative is expected to enhance labor market efficiency and protect the rights of all parties involved in the contractual relationship.
